Members of the Egerton University Engineering Students Association (EESA) recently completed the first phase of their pioneer Pavement Project near the Faculty of Law building, on the Njoro Campus. The project was initiated by the members under the leadership off their Chairman, Mr. Boaz Omunga Mauti, to help put to practice the skills they learn in class. This would help them realize one of the Club's objectives which is to equip its members with technical experiences in the engineering field. The project involved designing the pavements, welding the moulds and kerbs, and eventually laying down the slabs.

Egerton University, together with Maseno University and Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology, signed an MoU with Kisii University to establish the East African Centre of Excellence in Health Education and Training (CEHET).

The Vice-Chancellor Prof Isaac Kibwage, on 1 March 2022, opened the sensitization workshop for universities, TVETs and Research Institutions in the Central Rift Valley Region on Intellectual Property (IP) at Main Campus in Njoro.
