Egerton University is deeply saddened by the death of His Excellency Emilio Mwai Kibaki, the Third President of the Republic of Kenya. The office of the Dean of Students on 20 April conducted training of election officials at Main Campus in Njoro in preparation for the upcoming Egerton University Student Association (EUSA) elections set for 26 and 29 April 2022.
Egerton University mourns the passing of Prof. John Momanyi Mironga an Associate Professor of Biogeography at the Department of Geography, Faculty of Environment and Resources Development. He was a distinguished scholar, educator and mentor. Prof. Mironga was born in 1967 in Kisii Central, Kisii County.
On 13 April 2022, Egerton University (EU) officially opened the EU Minimart located at the Main Campus Entrance in Njoro.
