Egerton University and Bowie State University, USA, launched the 2024 Global Research and Extension Experience for Undergraduates in Kenya on 13 June at Egerton University. This year’s cohort comprises of fifteen (15) students drawn from nine (9) American universities.
Egerton University’s Council and Management Board participated in a comprehensive capacity building workshop, jointly organized by Kenya's National Treasury and the Kenya School of Government. The event was hosted at the government-owned Morendat Institute in Naivasha, Nakuru County.

During the opening ceremony, Prof. Kibwage expressed his gratitude to the project committee, the project coordinator Prof. Nancy Mungai, and the contractor for their efficient resource management, which resulted in the timely completion of the impressive building. He remarked on the beauty and design of the structure and praised the team for adhering to their agreements.
