This is to inform all staff members that the Vice Chancellor  has recently made several appointments to various positions within the University. These appointments reflect the University's commitment to excellence in teaching, learning, research, and extension.

On 6 April, Dr Symon Kibet Kiprop was appointed as the Chairman of the Department of Economics at the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. His extensive experience and knowledge in Economics will help to elevate the Department to new heights.

Egerton University's Research and Extension Directorate recently conducted a training program for its researchers and postgraduate students on how to carry out a meta-analysis. The training, which covered the entire process of conducting a meta-analysis, was led by Dr. Lisa Tiemann, a visiting professor from Michigan State University, USA.

Egerton University recently hosted a Volkswagen Foundation Humanities Fellows Workshop, which brought together international scholars from different parts of the world to share their research work and explore opportunities for collaboration.

The Egerton University Dean of Students Office, under the leadership of Dr Japhet Muthamia, has lauded a program to sensitize students about Human Immuno-Deficiency Virus (HIV) on campus. The program aims to reduce HIV risk among male students at the university and promote HIV prevention and response initiatives.
