Egerton University continues to strengthen its academic leadership through a series of recent appointments made by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Isaac Kibwage.
Effective 19 September 2025, Dr. Eston Lugairi was appointed Acting Chairperson of the Department of Geography. Earlier, on 2 September 2025, Dr. Rose Ong’oa assumed the role of Acting Chairperson of the Department of Applied Community Development Studies.
Following successful faculty elections, Dr. Flora Fedha was appointed Dean, Faculty of Education and Community Studies, effective 18 August 2025. Dr. Fedha’s leadership marks a new chapter in advancing educational excellence and community engagement.
The Vice Chancellor also re-appointed Prof. George Ogendi the Principal of Nakuru City Campus College effective 6 July 2025.
In the Faculty of Health Sciences, Dr. Caroline Ndung’u was appointed Acting Chairperson of the Department of Human Anatomy on 9 June 2025, while Dr. Elizabeth Jananga was re-appointed Acting Chairperson of the Department of Paediatrics and Child Health effective 4 June 2025. Earlier, on 21 June 2025, Dr. Amos Otara Megembe was confirmed as Chairperson of the Department of Reproductive Health.
