Prof. Daniel Auka Appointed as Director of Linkages and Collaborations
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Isaac Kibwage, has appointed Prof. Daniel Auka as the Director of Linkages and Collaborations, effective 28th January 2025.
Prof. Auka brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having once served as the acting Principal at Nakuru City Campus. With a strong academic background in service marketing, customer relationship management (CRM), and entrepreneurial development, he has also made significant contributions to research, particularly in CRM within the service industry.
The Directorate of Linkages and Collaborations, under Prof. Auka’s leadership, plays a crucial role in fostering relationships between the University and other institutions, both locally and internationally. Its mandate includes initiating and sustaining academic and research linkages, promoting the University’s academic programmes on a global scale, and overseeing the application and enrollment process for international students. Additionally, the directorate facilitates consultation and welfare services for international students and staff, strengthens partnerships with industries to drive innovation, and works towards the commercialization of research outputs. It also seeks to engage the private sector in supporting the University's key programmes and projects.
