This is in refernce to the information that appeared in the media that our students died in a road accident on Sunday, 28th at Chepseo along Nakuru - Kericho Highway.
We have followed up the matter and confirmed that the students mentioned were not from Egerton University.
Our sincere condolonces to the parents and families who lost their loved ones in the accident.
This is further to our Notice issued earlier on suspension of physical learning dated 27th March 2021.
After further consultations on the 15th Presidential directive on corona virus, we have been instructed that the University be closed until further notice except for medical students.
All students are therefore required to vacate the University premises with immediate effect taking along their valuable items.

Following the receipt of disbursement of HELB Loans on Tuesday 16th March 2021 by the University,sthe University Management Board at its meeting on Wednesday 17th March 2021 resolved that the portal be re-opened to allow students to register.
This is therefore to inform all students that the portal will be re-opened from Friday 19th to Wednesday 24th March 2021 at 11.59p.m.All students are asked to take advantage of this window and ensure that they are fully registered for the semester and do unit registration before the portal closes.
Beyond the deadline, any student who will not have registered is expected to vacate the University. Disciplinary action will be taken against any such student if found illegally in campus.

Effective the semester begining on 25th January 2021, all students will be required to pre-register for units in their portal. You are therefore rewuired to pre-register for units by 29th January 2021. Pre-registration of units informs us that you will be attending the semester. Failure to pre-register will indicate that you are deferring the academic year. Pre-registration is not linked to fee payment.
