We are pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Elisha Achieng Ogada as the new Deputy Director in the Directorate of Quality Assurance (DQA) (https://www.egerton.ac.ke/quality-assurance) on 10th September, 2024. Dr. Ogada’s extensive experience and distinguished academic background make him an excellent fit for this role.
Dr. Ogada holds a PhD in Applied Mathematics from the Harbin Institute of Technology, China (2011-2014) and currently serves as a lecturer in the Department of Mathematics in the Faculty of Science where he has been instrumental in shaping the academic growth of students and contributing to the research initiatives of the department. His consultancy expertise and experience on matters of monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEAL) and deep understanding of academic processes within the university positions him strategically to be a valuable Deputy Director responsible for maintaining institutional quality assurance systems.
As the new Deputy Director of Quality Assurance, Dr. Ogada will be part of the quality assurance team led by the Director Dr. Patriciah Wambugu to ensure that all programs offered by Egerton University meet the highest quality standards of both national and international regulatory bodies, driving continuous improvement in teaching and learning effectiveness and self-assessment of academic programmes. DQA is confident that his leadership experience in various capacities will greatly contribute to the mission of academic excellence.
