SUMMARY

Dr Patriciah W. Wambugu is a Senior Lecturer of Curriculum & Instruction in Egerton University. She is currently the director of Quality Assurance in Egerton University and believes in continued improvement of overall quality of University Education.

She earned her PhD in Curriculum and Instruction in 2011 at Egerton University. Dr Wambugu is specialized in the design, development, and evaluation of educational programs. Her expertise encompasses a deep understanding of pedagogical theories, teaching strategies, curriculum development, and instructional design.

She has a teaching experience in higher education and training of educators leading courses on teaching methodologies, assessment practices, and classroom management. And also conducted research in areas such as curriculum theory, instructional innovations, pedagogical practices, contributing to scholarly publications and presentations in academic conferences. She is visionary on impacting the society and therefore is widely involved in professional development trainings, consultancy and outreach.

In addition to teaching and research, Dr Patriciah Wambugu is engaged in curriculum development for schools and institutions of Higher (such as the Open University of Kenya, Pedagogical Leadership in Africa Training (PEDAL) for African Universities among others).

She is also involved in ensuring that curricula are aligned with educational goals and that instructional strategies are in line with the Competency Based Education and Training (CBET).

Dr Patriciah Wambugu professional passion is working with students and staff to build authentic inter-disciplinary research work and educational experiences.
