Egerton University proudly congratulates Dr. Caleb Orenge, Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery (FVMS) on his appointment to the Kenya Veterinary Board (KVB).
As announced in Gazette Notice No. 3406 dated 13th March 2026, Dr. Orenge has been appointed by the Cabinet Secretary for Agriculture and Livestock Development, Mutahi Kagwe, to serve a three-year term under the Veterinary Surgeons and Veterinary Para-Professionals Act (No. 11 of 2024).
This distinguished appointment reflects Dr. Orenge’s exemplary career in veterinary science, his visionary leadership within Egerton University’s Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery (FMVS), and his steadfast commitment to advancing animal health and welfare in Kenya.
His expertise will now contribute significantly to strengthening regulation, professional standards, and practice within the veterinary sector nationally.
