Egerton University Alumni Association is set to host its Annual Alumni Dinner on Friday, 19th December 2025. The event is aimed at celebrating and appreciating the role of alumni in the University’s growth and development. It also recognizes alumni as key stakeholders in engagement across public and private sectors.

The dinner will be hosted by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Isaac Kibwage. He will receive distinguished guests drawn from diverse professional backgrounds. Members of the University Management Board and staff have also been invited to attend.The Secretary General of the Egerton University Alumni Association, Dr. Wamukuru Kuria, has formally invited all Egerton University alumni to participate. The event will be held at the Waterbuck Hotel in Nakuru City, next to Westside Mall. Proceedings will begin at 5:00 pm.
Dr. Wamukuru described the dinner as an opportunity to reconnect and reflect. He noted that it is a time to bond and reminisce about shared experiences at the University. These experiences include moments in hostels, lecture halls, sports pavilions, and the Students’ Centre. They also include memories built through extra-curricular activities and campus events.There are various categories of the Alumni Membership, with an automatic subscription at Graduation. Ordinary membership, Associate membership, Life Membership.

The Secretary General said,"Members are encouraged to renew their membership with a waiver issued to those who have defaulted past annual subscription."“This year’s event is a special evening to celebrate our shared journey,” said Dr. Wamukuru. He added that the dinner seeks to strengthen professional and social ties. It also aims to spark new collaborations for the future. He noted that the presence of University leadership makes the occasion even more meaningful.
The Director of Marketing and Resource Mobilization that hosts the Alumni Relations Office has expressed confidence that the event will be successful based on past experiences and increased enthusiasm."This is a great annual event where we reconnect with our alumni, she said. The 2025 dinner will be held under the theme, “Reconnecting, Reflecting, Networking and Reigniting our Legacy.” The theme captures the spirit of unity and shared heritage that defines the Egerton University alumni community. It also reflects a forward-looking approach to alumni engagement.
The Alumni Association describes the dinner as a flagship event. It brings together graduates from different generations and disciplines. Alumni are encouraged to attend and become part of a growing and vibrant network.The event will also feature branded merchandise. Items adorned with the alumni logo and University colors will be available. These will serve as memorabilia and lasting reminders of the evening.
