Egerton University was honoured to host a team from the Commission for University Education (CUE) as part of the routine 5-year institutional audit process. The visit began with a courtesy call to the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Isaac Kibwage, where the CUE team briefed him on the objectives, scope, and methodology of the audit.
In line with CUE standards, Prof. Kibwage officially opened the audit presentation, taking the auditors through the university’s governance organs, institutional structures, stakeholder engagement frameworks, and the rich history of Egerton University—from its initial chartering in 1987 to its rechartering in 2013.
The CUE team later met with the Egerton University Senate, which comprises Chairs of Departments, Deans of Faculties, the Ag. Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration, Finance and Planning) Prof. Richard Mulwa, the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academics, Research and Extension) Prof. Benard Aduda, among others. The Senate attentively listened as the auditors engaged the university leadership on key areas of academic quality, institutional performance, and regulatory compliance.
This audit marks an important step in reaffirming Egerton University’s commitment to quality education, transparency, and continuous improvement.
