In a gesture of good will for the dissemination of Knowledge, Egerton University Library Department through the office of the Vice-Chancellor has donated 686 volumes of books to the Nakuru County Assembly to enrich its special library collection.
The donation process commenced in October, 2023 after a formal request by the Clerk of the County Assembly Ms Jane Waweru who had noted in the request letter that the County Assembly Library was soliciting for book donations to meet the growing needs of its readers.
In partnership with the Partnership for African Social and Governance Research (PASGR), Egerton University is thrilled to announce the successful recipients of the prestigious DAAD In-Country/In-Region scholarship for the collaborative Master of Research and Public Policy (MRPP) programme.
The rigorous selection process has identified six exceptional scholars awarded this scholarship, enabling them to embark on a transformative educational journey. These deserving students are set to commence their studies in the 2023/24 Academic Year.
The recipients of the DAAD In-Country/In-Region scholarships for the MRPP programme are as follows: Glorious Jesang, Anicet Bucumi, Prosper Nzoyishemeza, Maxwell Ralph Ochen, Edwin Onyango Opondo and Barbara Wabuyele. The one-year scholarship aims to equip them with the knowledge, skills, and perspectives needed to tackle the continent's complex challenges and drive positive change.
