This is to remind all students that the University re-opened as from 12^th February 2022 and teaching and learning activities are ongoing. Students are asked to note that the examination dates (CATs and End of Semester) which have already been scheduled will NOT change.

Egerton University Senate at its 537^th meeting held on 11^th February 2022 resolved that the University be re-opened with immediate effect.  By this Notice, all students are informed that dates for reporting and learning activities are as follows:

Egerton University is going through the most difficult chapter in its existence. The current strike is negatively affecting this institution. In addition, speculations in digital media are fueling these uncertain times.

Egerton University envisions to be a World Class University for the advancement of humanity. In line with this, the Division of Academic Affairs has organized a virtual Open forum with the 44^th Graduation graduates which will be held on Tuesday, 21^st December 2021 starting at 10.00 am. This is an initial forum organized by the University to receive feedback from graduates about their experiences at Egerton University. The feedback will inform strategies towards continuous improvement in service delivery to our clients.

Egerton University wishes to inform the public that it will hold its 44^th Graduation Ceremony on Friday 17 December 2021. The event will take place at the Graduation Square, Main Campus, Njoro, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.The virtual activities will be streamed live as follows:

Further to our earlier Notice regarding closure of the University, Senate at its 533^rd continuation meeting held on 26^th November 2021 resolved that students from the Faculty of Health Sciences and Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery be recalled to campus to continue with their studies.

Following the strike by University teaching staff which has disrupted learning in the Institution, Senate at its 533^rd meeting held on Thursday 25^th November 2021 resolved to close the University with immediate effect until further notice.

Attached is a list of 895 entries relating to funds deposited into the various university bank accounts and whose depositors and purposes for the deposits have been difficult to identify.

Please check and come forward with supporting evidence if you made the deposits in order to enable us to update our records accordingly.

Reference is made to our earlier notice dated 21^st September 2021 regarding closure of portal for registration for Semester II (2017 and 2018 cohorts) and Semester I (2019, 2020 and 2021 cohorts) running from September – December 2021.

Egerton University will hold its 44^th Graduation ceremony in December 2021. All students who did not graduate with their cohorts for one reason or another but have now fulfilled all the requirements to graduate are requested to register with their respective Deans’ offices.  It is the responsibility of each prospective graduand to confirm his/her EXAMINATION RESULTS by contacting their respective Deans’ offices.  The results are also available in the student portal.
