

Call for Scholarship Applications under the TAGDev 2.0 Programme for the 2026/2027 Academic Year at Egerton University
Egerton University, one of the oldest institutions of higher learning in Kenya, has a rich history of driving innovation in agricultural education and research. As a key partner in the TAGDev 2.0 program, the university is committed to equipping young women and men with skills that align with industry needs and fostering entrepreneurship to address unemployment.
Through its interdisciplinary programmes, experiential learning approaches, and strategic collaborations with stakeholders, Egerton University will play a key role in achieving TAGDev 2.0’s objectives through skilling of at least 10,500 young women and men, expanding work opportunity to impact 25,000 young women and men, supporting establishment of 75 startups, validating and scaling at least 15 Climate adaptive Technologies, innovations and management practices to at least 68,500 smallholder farmers in Kenya, plant at least 950,000 trees among others.
The university is keen on promoting inclusivity for marginalized groups such as persons with disabilities, refugees, and out-of-school youth in its efforts to contribute to improving livelihoods and driving inclusive development in Kenya.
