WORK EXPERIENCE

Experienced researcher, lecturer, and consultant in agricultural and food engineering with over a decade of multidisciplinary expertise spanning academia, industry, and development work. Currently a Lecturer at Egerton University, with prior teaching roles at the University of Nairobi covering engineering sciences, food systems, and environmental management. Has held research positions at ETH Zurich and ICIPE, focusing on post-harvest food safety and soft matter applications in drying of leafy vegetables. Formerly a Quality Assurance Analyst at Haco Tiger Brands and interned at Mumias Sugar Company.

Extensively involved in consultancy work for both public and private sectors, specializing in plant design, technical assessments, energy efficiency, and environmental sustainability. Worked with organizations such as REA, KenGen, Ministry of Agriculture, AGRA, and World Food Systems on research and development projects.

RESEARCH INTERESTS

My research interests include renewable energy use in agricultural processing and mechanization, integrated agriculture systems, soil and water conservation for climate adaptation, and AI applications in agriculture.
