FIELDS OF SPECIALIZATION

Focused on pharmacology and toxicology, specifically toxicological assessment of drugs and poisons both invitro and invivo. Proficient in laboratory good practices and analysis of laboratory data using R-programming. 

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Data analysis of scientific data using programms like R, SPSS and excel.
  2. Farm biosecurity designing and advice.
  3. Bovine artificial insemination  trainer
  4. Pre-clinical (invivo) research using laboratory animals.

 

WORK EXPERIENCE

2024-Todate: Technologist-1 for pharmacology and toxicology at the department of Veterinary Public Health Pharmacology and Toxicology,EU.

2017-2024: Technologist at Veterinary Public Health Pharmacology and Toxicology Egerton University on an acting capacity.

2015 -2017:  Post mortem attendant  at the department of veterinary clinical studies (VCLS) Egerton University.

Oct to dec 2021- Field attachment at the department of public health and sanitation ( Egerton University).

2010 to 2015-  Field officer at Brookside dairy limited. 

2009 to 2010-  Llivestock health officer and later as livestock manager at Elkarama ranch limited in Nanyuki.

RESEARCH INTERESTS
  • Issues sarrounding antimicrobial resistance (AMR).

A study on the prevalence rates of dental fluorosis among class eight pupils of year 2021 in Barut ward Nakuru County.
