WORK EXPERIENCE

2015 todate- At Egerton University as a post mortem attendant but currently acting as a technologist at the department of veterinary public health pharmacology and toxicology. I take our undergraduate students through public health practicals in areas of animal food inpection, biostatistics and research methods, epidemiology, food borne and zoonosis, one health and other duties as assigned at the department.

Oct to dec 2021- Field attachment at the department of public health and sanitation ( Egerton University).

2010 to 2015-A field officer at Brookside dairy limited. I was responsible for raw milk supply to the company both in terms of quality and quantities within my assigned geographical location.

2009 to 2010- At Elkarama ranch as alivestock health officer and later as livestock manager. Responsibilities included; maintenance of health and profitable herd of cattle and  holistic management of wildlife, cattle and the environment.

RESEARCH INTERESTS
  • To understand the relationships between methane gas production by various breeds of cattle and their impacts on climate change.
  • The magnitude of AMR (antimicrobial resistance ) in livestock sector.
LIST OF PUBLICATIONS

A study on the prevalence rates of dental fluorosis among class eight pupils of year 2021 in Barut ward Nakuru County.

HONORS, PRIZE AND AWARDS
  1. I was a warded a certificate of the best student in extension and farm business management subjects at my college(A.H.I.T.I)
  2. Awarded a certificate for being a Kalenjin association's academic coordinator(A.H.I.T.I)
  3. Awarded a certificate for being active member of occopational health and safety committee in Brookside dary limited.
