NJORO, Kenya — Egerton University has reinforced its position as a regional hub for agricultural research and scientific collaboration by hosting international partners under the GENES II Programme, an initiative supported by the European Union that seeks to strengthen plant breeding, research capacity, and food security systems across Africa.
NJORO, Kenya, July 28, 2026 — Nanjing Agricultural University (NAU) has identified Egerton University as its most important institutional partner in Africa and announced plans to significantly expand research, teaching, student exchange, and agricultural innovation collaboration between the two universities.
