Good morning and welcome to Egerton University!

First, congratulations to each one of you. You have worked hard to get here and we are happy to welcome you to this institution. You are now officially university students. University is an exciting stage of life. You will make friends, discover new interests, face challenges and learn many things beyond what is taught in the lecture halls. I want to give you a few simple pieces of advice as you begin this journey

It is a pleasure to join you for this luncheon. I sincerely thank the National Chairperson Mrs Kirinya and the Agricultural Society of Kenya for this thoughtful gesture and for the warm hospitality we have received throughout this year's Show.

On behalf of the Egerton University fraternity, I welcome you to the 4K Club Open Day. We are delighted to showcase practical agricultural learning and community engagement initiatives today. 

As a university founded on a strong agricultural heritage, Egerton remains committed to nurturing practical skills. Through our partnership with schools, government agencies and other stakeholders, we have been supporting the revitalization of 4K Clubs in Njoro and beyond. We are empowering learners with knowledge in sustainable agriculture, environmental conservation and responsible farming practices
