The University has made two leadership appointments to enhance academic and administrative functions in key areas.
The Vice Chancellor Prof. Isaac Kibwage has appointed Dr John Nduko as the acting Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, effective 1 December 2024. Dr Nduko has been serving as the Associate Dean of the Faculty since November 2023. He holds a PhD and a Master of Engineering in Biotechnology from Hokkaido University, Japan, specializing in Industrial Biotechnology, and a Bachelor of Science in Food Science and Technology (First Class Honours) from Egerton University. Dr Nduko is currently a Senior Lecturer in Food Biotechnology and Food Microbiology in the Department of Dairy and Food Science and Technology. His contributions to the University include roles as Science, Technology, and Innovation (STI) champion, Departmental Examination Officer, and Research sub-Committee member, among others.
In addition, Dr Maurice O. Ogoma has been appointed as the acting Chairman of the Department of Natural Resources in the Faculty of Environment and Resources Development. Dr Ogoma specializes in Aquatic Sciences, Wildlife Management, and Fisheries Management. His teaching areas include Wildlife Management, Ecology, Natural Resources Management, and Fisheries and Aquaculture.
