Egerton University was among the key institutions which featured at the Nation Media Group Higher Education Expo and Career Fair held at the Kisumu School on 15-16 July 2022. The Expo coincided with the International Youth Skills Day celebrated globally on 15th July every year. The theme for 2022 was "Transforming youth skills for the future".
Several schools, among them, Kisumu School, Kisumu Girls, Maseno School, Maranda High School, Chulaimbo, Lions High, Huma Girls, and others attended the Career Expo.
Addressing the students, Dr. Masaya Chakava from the Directorate of Marketing and Resource Mobilisation encouraged the candidates to work hard so as to obtain KCSE grades that will enable them to pursue some of the degree and diploma programmes at Egerton University.
The students were also informed about the student support programmes available at Egerton University like work study programmes, bursaries and scholarship programmes that they could make use of should they choose to join Egerton University after KCSE.
Several proud Egerton alumni also visited the Egerton University tent and were gifted with alumni branded merchandise.
