It was a day of excitement and celebration on Friday, February 10, 2023, as Egerton University held its 46th Graduation ceremony at the main campus in Njoro, Nakuru City County. The ceremony marked the first physical graduation since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Rector of Abrar University Somalia, Prof Dr. Ahmed Abdulkadir Kadle, and Dr. Ahmed Said Mohamud, Director of Research & Post Graduate Studies at the University of Red Sea, Somalia, paid a visit to Egerton University yesterday morning.
Egerton University student Cynthia Wanini has been elected as the first president of the Egerton University Student Association (EUSA) in the university's history. Cynthia, who is also the Chair of the student council, has been an active participant in various activities and initiatives that aim to empower women in leadership and mentorship programs.

Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi led the launch of Egerton University's 'Adopt a Forest' initiative, which is part of the Presidential initiative to grow a 15 billion tree cover by 2030. He commended the university for its innovative approach and participated in a tree planting exercise at Egerton University in Njoro, Nakuru County.
