Egerton University Holds Validation Workshop to Enhance Science, Technology, and Innovation Strategy
Egerton University recently hosted a workshop to validate its Science, Technology, and Innovation (STI) strategy, as well as its Consultancy Policy and Extension and Outreach Policy documents.The goal of the workshop was to gather insights from stakeholders, including important figures within the university such as the Deputy Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs, Professor Benard Aduda, and the Deputy Vice Chancellor of Administration Planning and Development, Richard Mulwa. The workshop was moderated by Professor Nancy Mungai.

It was a day of excitement and celebration on Friday, February 10, 2023, as Egerton University held its 46th Graduation ceremony at the main campus in Njoro, Nakuru City County. The ceremony marked the first physical graduation since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Rector of Abrar University Somalia, Prof Dr. Ahmed Abdulkadir Kadle, and Dr. Ahmed Said Mohamud, Director of Research & Post Graduate Studies at the University of Red Sea, Somalia, paid a visit to Egerton University yesterday morning.
Egerton University student Cynthia Wanini has been elected as the first president of the Egerton University Student Association (EUSA) in the university's history. Cynthia, who is also the Chair of the student council, has been an active participant in various activities and initiatives that aim to empower women in leadership and mentorship programs.
KUCCPS portal is now open for 2022/2023 University, College and TVET applications. Students who completed their secondary school studies and are yet to apply can now log into https://students.kuccps.net/login/ for application.
- Input your KCSE index number, KCSE year and use your birth certificate number as your password.
- Students who scored a minimum of a C+ can apply for degree courses in both the public and private universities country wide.
- Students with a mean grade of C- and above qualify for diploma courses, D+ qualify for certificate course while the rest can apply for artisan courses.
- Applicants are required to pay an application fee of 1500 Kenyan shillings and note down the MPESA transaction code for confirmation. After entering the valid code you can proceed with the application.
The Egerton Journal of Science and Technology (Egerton J. Sci. & Technol) (ISSN 2073-8277) is an international, open access, multidisciplinary and peer-reviewed journal published on a rolling basis.
Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi led the launch of Egerton University's 'Adopt a Forest' initiative, which is part of the Presidential initiative to grow a 15 billion tree cover by 2030. He commended the university for its innovative approach and participated in a tree planting exercise at Egerton University in Njoro, Nakuru County.
