BREEDTECH is a three year (2024-2027) cross regional project which has brought together a consortium of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). The project involves, ten partner and one associate partner institutions from seven countries (Kenya, Ethiopia, Palestine, Italy, Sweden, Serbia and Austria).

The BREEDTECH project proudly sponsored 17 postgraduate students—both Kenyan and international—to present their research at the Laikipia University Biennial Conference held from May 28th to 30th, 2025.

BREEDTECH initiative (Building Capacity in Plant Breeding and Biotechnology Education and Research through Partnership Program in Africa, the Middle East, and Europe for Agricultural Transformation) is a European Union-funded project involving academic and  research institutions from Kenya, Ethiopia, Palestine, Italy, Sweden, and Serbia.
