On February 14, 2024, Egerton University's Main Campus hosted a town hall meeting convened by the Commonwealth Student Association (CSA) and the Egerton University Student Association (EUSA).

Present during the meeting were the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academics, Research & Extension) Prof. Bernard Aduda, members of staff from the Office of the Dean of Students led by Dr Japheth Muthamia and student leaders led by EUSA Chairlady Cynthia Wanini. From CSA were Benjamin Frazer, Muchemi Muriithi, Tonny Ochieng, Angella Nakiganda and Linda Nasimiyu.

The DVC Academics Prof. Aduda's opening remarks highlighted the evolving role of students in shaping education. He emphasized the importance of active student engagement, stressing that learning thrives when students' voices are heard and valued.

The meeting provided a platform for constructive dialogue, emphasizing collaboration and innovation in addressing educational challenges.
