    Egerton University, together with other partners from universities and research institutions in Kenya, are implementing KCSAP Climate-Smart Fish Culture Systems (CSFCS) for Increased Aquaculture Productivity and Livelihood Security through Fingerponds project.

  • Scholarship and Financial Aid

    An Endowment Fund Scholarships for Undergraduate students at Egerton University has been established. This is part of the initiatives by the Egerton University Endowment Fund setup in the year 2007 to provide scholarship to bright but needy students in thecontinuingyears.

  • ACE II National Steering Committee visit CESAAM

    ACE II National Steering Committee led by Ambassador Samson Nabukwesi is the Principal Secretary, State Department for University Education visit CESAAM at Egerton University on 31st August 2020.

  • Egerton University and the family of the late Prof. Samuel Thomas Kabuitu Kariuki famously known as Prof. S.T. alias “a walking plant taxonomy dictionary” today held a tree-planting ceremony at the University’s Botanic Garden. The ceremony hosted by the Division of Research and Extension together with the Department of Biological Sciences was in honour and remembrance of the late Prof. S.T. Kariuki who was the founder and in charge of the Garden since its inception in the year 2002.

  • Participants at our Legal Aid Conference that took place on 8th - 11th Dec, 2020 at the Sentrim-Elementaita. The conference which was the first to be held at the national level in the country brought together experts from different fields to discuss the present and future prospects of legal aid in Kenya.

  • Crop breeding research at Makerere University Regional Centre for Crop Improvement (MaRCCI), Uganda.

    Through its support to 24 academic research centers of excellence in eight countries, the Eastern & Southern Africa Higher Education Centers of Excellence (ACEII) project succeeded in enrolling over 8,000 students, of whom one-third were female, in Master’s and PhD programs, as well as in short courses. To support capacity in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), the project focuses on five regional priority areas: agriculture, applied statistics, education, health and industry.

  • Egerton University has once again topped the charts in Kenya, Africa, and in the world in the January 2021 webometrics ranking that scored universities on 'Impact', 'Openness', and 'Excellence'. 

  • Covid 19 prevention is a community effort, Egerton University staff are also taking measures to prevent the spread of the virus.

  • COVID -19 SENSITIZATION

    As a student, you can still sanitize/wash your hands, keep social distancing and wear masks while having fun at the campus. Starting from 29th January, the Egerton University COVID -19 sensitization team has been going around Njoro Campus hostels and off-campus hostels to sensitize students on COVID-19 preventative measures. 

  • Art of Countering Violent Extremism in Kenya: Images, Texts, Things

    Egerton University and Volkswagen Foundation wish you to invite to an exhibition titled 'Art of Countering Violent Extremism in Kenya: Images, Texts, Things' to be held at the Nairobi National Museum and on virtual platforms between 08-28 February 2021. The exhibition is convened by Dr. Halkano A. Wario as part of his Volkswagen Foundation supported project. You are also invited to four virtual seminars organized within the exhibition framework on 09, 15, 18 and 25 February 2021. Watch this space for the seminar posters announcements.
