Civil and Environment Engineering

Welcome to the department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Egerton University. It was established in 1998, then as the department of Water and Environmental Engineering, and later adopted its current name in 2008 in order to accommodate more academic programmes. The department is mandated to train and produce competent Graduate Engineers who will be able to accomplish the planning, design and construction of civilian systems and infrastructure facilities. The first batch of students was admitted in 1999 to study BSc in Water and Environmental Engineering. The vision is to become a department of excellence in the area of Civil and Environmental Engineering with quality learning environment and research facilities.
